Adding an Apple TV 4 to a MAC Address enabled network, what a task.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this.

I helped someone get their ATV 4 hooked up to a mac address enabled network. Normally it's pretty easy. The WIFI MAC address can be found on the documentation or the box. Not so in this case. The way Apple has it set up I could not just go to the "About" page "Network" blah blah page and get the address. I actually had to plug the Ethernet of the ATV into the router and then access the routers GUI to get the Ethernet address then add that address to the allowed devices and continue with the set up.

After I get it set up while connected via Ethernet and "update" the ATV I went to find the WIFI MAC address and even that was a bit of a task, lol. Of course I had to disconnect the Ethernet in order to find it but when it appeared it ended up at the bottom of the page almost not viewable and that page wouldn't let me scroll down to get it out of the faded area it was in. Amazing. At least I found it and was able to add it to the list of "allowed" devices, lol. Maybe there was an easier way but I'm not hooking this stuff up everyday so it's like a new learning experience every time I help someone hook one of these devices up.

I couldn't use my iPhone for the setup since I needed to add the wifi address of the ATV4 to the network allowed devices. I also couldn't use the iPhone of the owner since it's been dropped recently and has connection "issues".

Ultimately I got it hooked up and working and maybe this can help someone else.

Anyone else have the experience? Is there an easier way?
